Lukfook Jewellery Title Sponsored “Life Reborn Charity Night” To Raise Funds for Dialysis Centre and Benefit Nephropathy Patients

(13 March 2015) —Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to be the title sponsor of the live TV show “Lukfook Jewellery Presents: Life Reborn Charity Night” organized by Lions Kidney Educational Centre & Research Foundation (the “L.K.E.C.”). The show has concluded successfully to raise funds for establishment of the fourth Dialysis Centre of L.K.E.C. to provide low cost high quality haemodialysis services and support for kidney disease patients.

In recent years, there has been an increasing number of renal failure patients in Hong Kong, with approximately 1,000 new patients each year who are in need of dialysis treatment or kidney transplant in order to live on. As the population ages, the number of end-stage renal disease patients in Hong Kong has exceeded 9,000, leading to a surging demand for charity kidney dialysis services.

Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group said, “The Group has actively supported a variety of charity programmes to contribute to the community. By title sponsoring this fund raising event, we hope to arouse public concern for kidney disease, as well as to encourage more donations from the community and raise funds for the fourth Dialysis Centre of L.K.E.C. so as to help more kidney disease patients and prolong their lives.”

The show “Lukfook Jewellery Presents: Life Reborn Charity Night” was held on 7 March at Tseung Kwan O TVB City. Mr. Tse Moon Chuen, Deputy Chairman and Deputy General Manager of the Group, presented the cheque of HK$2.28 million to L.K.E.C. on behalf of the Group.
