(7 May 2018) — Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to announce that Maxigood (Guangzhou) Jewellery Company Limited, a subsidiary of the Group, was awarded Certificate of Merit in “2017 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence” (“HKAEE”) in the sector of “Manufacturing and Industrial Services” to affirm its efforts and contributions in environmental protection.

Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group said, “The Group is thrilled to receive HKAEE’s recognition. We spare no effort to promote green production by formulating and implementing appropriate environmental management measures in various business areas, as well as actively promoting environmental awareness among employees, their families and business partners so as to join force to build a green community. HKAEE is led by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) alongside the Environmental Protection Department and in conjunction with nine organizations, namely, the Advisory Council on the Environment, the Business Environment Council, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ & Exporters’ Association, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Productivity Council. It aims to encourage corporations and organizations to implement environmental management, to measure their commitment and performances on this area and to recognize those with excellent performance.
