Attained the Honour of “Manpower Developer” in “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme”

(29 April 2011) ------ Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Luk Fook“ / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590), proudly announced that the Group attained the honour of “Manpower Developer” in the “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” hosted by the Employees Retraining Board (“ERB”), in recognition of the Group’s outstanding accomplishments in manpower training and development.                 

Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chief Executive of the Group, said, “The Group has always placed great value in manpower training. This award not only recognizes our efforts in manpower training and development all these years, but also reinforces our staff’s sense of belonging. It will also help enhance the Group’s corporate image and attract more talents to join us.”

“ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” aims to cultivate a common value to human resources development. The scheme was first launched in 2009 with an aim to promote a corporate culture focusing on manpower training and development among enterprises, heighten the awareness of the employers and employees of the importance of on-the-job training and continuous upgrading and acknowledge the enterprises which have demonstrated outstanding performance in manpower training and development.

The 2nd presentation ceremony of “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” was held at the Mira Hong Kong on 28 Apr 2011.

Ms. Shirley Wong, the Group’s Deputy General Manager, received the award from Mr. Matthew Cheung, the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, on behalf of the Group.
