( 4 February 2013) ------ Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to announce that the Group is awarded the “Corporate Citizenship Logo (Enterprise Category)” in the 3rd Hong Kong Corporate Citizenship Award Scheme. This recognizes the Group’s contribution in fulfilling corporate social responsibility.
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group said, “The Group is honored to receive this recognition from the authority. The 3rd “Hong Kong Corporate Citizenship Award Scheme” award presentation ceremony was held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 30 January 2013 (Wednesday). Mr. Wong Ho Lung, Danny, Deputy Chairman & Executive Director of Lukfook Group, received the award on behalf of the Group.
“Hong Kong Corporate Citizenship Award Scheme” is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education. It aims at enhancing corporate citizenship and encouraging the enterprises to demonstrate and promote social responsibility. By integrating the concept of corporate citizenship into operating strategies and management measures, it can help deliver this concept among the employees and their families, customers and the public, and hence facilitate the economic, social and environmental sustainable development.
