(7 Sep 2020) — Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to announce that the Group’s jewellery design piece “Freedom and Bondage”, designed by the Group’s jewellery designer Ms. Lee Wing-yan, has won the “Best of Show Award (Open Group)” and “Craftsmanship and Technology Award” in the "21st Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition". Meanwhile, the Group’s six other design pieces have also been recognised with Merit Awards.
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Group said, “Thanks to our designers’ excellent craftsmanship and creativity, the Group’s design pieces have been awarded for 5 successive years in ‘Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition’. The Group encourages designers to try out new styles and materials and bring diverse elements into our products so as to constantly offer customers with fresh and unique designs.”
The 21st Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition, themed “Relative‧Compatible”, is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong Jewellers’ & Goldsmiths’ Association, the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association, the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association and the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong. The Competition aims to discover new design talents and showcase the high quality of Hong Kong-made jewellery.
