Inspired by the enamel-on-porcelain painting art of the Qing Dynasty imperial court, this piece uses exquisite jewellery craftsmanship to reflect the emperor’s refined taste for beauty and the continuation of Chinese culture. The hairpin, centred on a blooming peony, employs coloured gemstones to vividly interpret the bright colours and intricate compositions of traditional enamel glazes.
