(16 May 2008) ------ Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Luk Fook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 0590) was invited to join a nine-month jewellery exhibition, “Hong Kong Design Series 6: Jewellery for Life”, organized by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. A variety of jade and jewellery, including more than 10 awarded pieces of the Group gained from local and international jewellery design competitions, will be showcased at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum starting from tomorrow onwards till February 2009.

The pieces to be showcased include “Cube” (earrings), which gained the Gold Medal Award in the “International Design Competition for Trendy Jadeite Jewellery” and “Chopsticks”“Tahitian Pearl Trophy Asia 3rd Edition” (Please refer to the attachment for more jewellery pieces). Moreover, a traditional manual jade cutting machine will be displayed, so that   visitors can understand better the old manufacturing processes of jades.

 Mr. Au Kwok Kau, Group General Manager of Luk Fook, who was invited to be the Guest of Honour at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, said, “The exhibition is very meaningful. It not only exposes local and overseas visitors to the jewellery pieces in different decades, but also allows them to understand more about the development and culture of the local jewellery industry, and thus consolidating the position of Hong Kong as a leading jewellery market in the world. On the other hand, showcasing our awarded pieces in various competitions will also demonstrate our achievements in jewellery designs and enhance the brand image of Luk Fook.”

“Hong Kong Design Series 6: Jewellery for Life” is one of the six exhibitions on Hong Kong designs organized by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. The exhibition aims to explore the meanings of jewellery wearing from three perspectives, which include: “Meaning and History”, “History and Development of the Hong Kong Jewellery Industry” and “Jewellery Brands and Trends”
