(3 December 2017) — Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590.HK) has been a keen supporter of the "Tung Wah Charity Gala” hosted by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals over the years. This year, the Group once again donated HK$1 million to support the development of medical, education and community services provided by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals.
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group said, “As an enterprise which cares for people and has a strong sense of social responsibility, the Group has been actively participating in charity and community programmes for many years. This year, the Group continued to extend our reach in the annual fundraising event of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, ‘Tung Wah Charity Gala’. We sincerely hope that our donation would help those in need and contribute to charity and community services.”
Being one of the largest charity organizations in Hong Kong, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals has been providing diversified services to the public so as to uphold its mission "To heal the sick and to relieve the distressed; to care for the elderly and to rehabilitate the disabled; to promote education and to nurture youngsters; and to raise the infants and to guide the children". "Tung Wah Charity Gala 2017" was held on 2 December 2017.
