Lukfook Group Donated over HK$2 million in support of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals

(28 January 2019) — Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) has been keen on charity work as always. This year, the Group has donated a total of HK$2.2 million to support Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs), Hong Kong’s charitable organization. Among the donations, HK$1 million donated in "Tung Wah Charity Gala 2018” will go towards assisting all kinds of TWGHs’ services, and the other HK$ 1.2 million for being the Title Sponsor for “TWGHs 148th Charity Dinner - Circus in Wonderland” will go to supporting the hot meal services of TWGHs.

Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Group said, “The Group always strives to give back to our community. This year, the Group continues to extend our reach to TWGHs in its annual fund-raising event "Tung Wah Charity Gala”. We also made a separate donation for their hot meal services in a hope to help more families in need. ‘It is truly more blessed to give than to receive’. We will continue to spare no effort in charity works and encourage our employees to care for the community.”

TWGHs is the largest charitable organization with the longest history in Hong Kong that provides a range of diversified medical and health, education and community services. “Lukfook Jewellery presents: TWGHs 148th Charity Dinner” was held on Friday, 25 January 2019 at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. The cheque presentation had already been taken place during the “Tung Wah Charity Gala 2018” held last month.
